Inspiration

I should start at the beginning, I suppose; otherwise, I will type in circles, and there will be little sense to be made from me.

I had been dying to read Howl's Moving Castle. I had read it several years ago and remembered loving it, but I searched all of my favorite book haunts. It was nowhere to be found. Finally, I broke down and visited Barnes and Noble (I love all the books, but as a poor student, I can rarely afford books at full price. Especially considering how much I read).

Knowing precisely what I wanted, and knowing my absolute weakness for bookshops, I approached a sales clerk as quickly as I could push myself through all the lovely books. When I asked where I could find it, she directed me to the children's section.

Where it was tragically missing.

Thankfully, the clerk didn't give up on me. She came back to where I was pouting in the children's section with the book. It was about to get "shipped out."

I read it within the next twenty-four hours.

And it was as irresistibly fabulous as I had remembered it.

I wanted to read something as remarkable and fantastic as my last book hangover. I wanted suggestions. Something new. Something fabulous. So I searched, and I couldn't find a single geek girl's reading list.

TRAGEDY.

How could it not exist?

For all the things we geeks adore, BOOKS are way up there on my list.

So in my humble way, I've decided to fill the void. It might only be my own void, but I plan on filling it. And It will be fantastic (Whovians?)

Tomorrow: We discuss what this blog will discuss. And maybe what it wont. And how fabulous geeks are.
